This round piece of glass art has been created using the Tiffany technique in the shape of a classic football. The motif is built up from hexagonal and pentagonal glass pieces in shades of black and white.
The glass pieces are carefully copper-foiled and joined with dark solder joints that give clear outlines to the ball's characteristic pattern. When light shines through the work, the vibrant structure of the glass and the beautiful colour variations emerge.
Glass lives with the light. Colours, texture and shape may appear slightly different in reality compared to photos, as a screen can never fully capture how glass refracts and lets light through. You are always welcome to view the artwork or item in the studio before purchasing.
