This handmade artwork in Tiffany technique takes the form of a horizontal stack of books. The motif is built up from hand-cut glass pieces with copper foil and dark solder joints that form book spines and covers in shimmering blue, green, red, yellow and white.
When the light falls through the coloured glass, the vibrant structures and rich colour shifts in each book emerge. The sculptural work also functions as a decorative lamp that spreads a warm, atmospheric glow in the room.
Glass lives with the light. Colours, texture and shape may appear slightly different in reality compared to photos, as a screen can never fully capture how glass refracts and lets light through. You are always welcome to view the artwork or item in the studio before purchasing.
