This rounded glass artwork has been created in the Tiffany technique in the shape of a classic football. The motif is constructed from hexagonal and pentagonal glass pieces in clear white opalescent glass and intense sky-blue glass.
The glass pieces are carefully copper-foiled and joined with dark solder joints that give clear outlines to the ball's characteristic pattern. When light shines through the work, the vibrant structure of the glass and the beautiful colour variations emerge.
Glass lives with the light. Colours, texture and shape may appear slightly different in reality compared to photos, as a screen can never fully capture how glass refracts and lets light through. You are always welcome to view the artwork or item in the studio before purchasing.
