This sculptural piece of glass art depicts a complete drum kit and has been created using the Tiffany technique with elements of metal. The motif is built up from shaped glass pieces in vibrant shades of green, yellow, blue and white opalescent glass.
The glass pieces are carefully copper-foiled and joined with dark solder seams that give clear contours to the shape of the drums. Cymbals and stands are made of metal, and when light falls through the piece, the structure of the glass and the colorful variations emerge.
Glass lives with the light. Colours, texture and shape may appear slightly different in reality compared to photos, as a screen can never fully capture how glass refracts and lets light through. You are always welcome to view the artwork or item in the studio before purchasing.
