This three-dimensional glass sculpture is shaped like a classical grand piano, created using meticulous Tiffany technique. The piano's open lid is supported by a twisted metal rod, revealing a beautiful puzzle of rectangular glass pieces.
The colour palette ranges from deep blue and turquoise to bright yellow, green and opal white. The dark solder joints frame each individual glass piece and give the sculpture a clear, graphic expression.
When the sculpture is placed where light can stream through the glass, the various fields of colour come to life and cast a soft, colourful glow in the room.
Glass lives with the light. Colours, texture and shape may appear slightly different in reality compared to photos, as a screen can never fully capture how glass refracts and lets light through. You are always welcome to view the artwork or item in the studio before purchasing.
