This glass panel has been created using the Tiffany technique and is set in a black frame. The motif portrays a large flower with red and light pink petals, alongside slender stems, green leaves and closed buds reaching upwards.
The background consists of pale sky-blue and marbled glass in soft tones of pink and yellow. The glass pieces are joined with dark solder joints that give clear outlines to the plant elements in the composition. When light filters through the work, the colour variations and the structure of the glass are brought to life.
Glass lives with the light. Colours, texture and shape may appear slightly different in reality compared to photos, as a screen can never fully capture how glass refracts and lets light through. You are always welcome to view the artwork or item in the studio before purchasing.
