This handmade glass panel depicts a stylised man in a hat and suit in profile, created using the traditional Tiffany technique where hand-cut glass pieces have been fitted with copper foil and soldered together with tin. The face and hat shimmer in soft yellow and beige shades, while the suit has a deep green tone and the shirt is made of white glass.
The background is divided into a bright blue sky on the left and green shifts on the right, providing a vibrant contrast to the foreground motif. The black vertical sweeping lines in the glass and the marked tin contours frame the face and hat. The entire artwork is framed in a black wooden frame that gives a defined and stylish impression on the wall.
Glass lives with the light. Colours, texture and shape may appear slightly different in reality compared to photos, as a screen can never fully capture how glass refracts and lets light through. You are always welcome to view the artwork or item in the studio before purchasing.
